The Pistra way

We show our cars, classroom and ground; we promise a clear process.

Pupils are only pictured with recorded consent, so we show where and how you learn instead.

Our cars

Manual and automatic cars, an A2 motorcycle and a rigid lorry, all with dual controls.

Classroom

  • No pupil photos or surnames without recorded consent.
  • No promised test dates; we explain how booking works.
  • Your checklist arrives before your first lesson.

Questions

What learners ask before they start.

Cannot find your question? Add it to the enquiry form and we will call you back the same day.

Does the enquiry form book my lessons?

No. It asks us to call you back and sends the checklist for your category. We agree your start date, lesson times and package with you, and nothing is charged online.

Are your instructors approved?

Every instructor is an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) or holds a current trainee licence, and the certificate is displayed in the car. Each profile states which one, along with their categories and languages.

When can I take my test?

Theory and practical tests are booked through the official GOV.UK service and availability depends on your test centre. We explain each step and help you judge when you are ready, but we never promise a test date.

Should I learn in a manual or an automatic?

If you pass in an automatic, your licence covers automatic cars only. If you might ever drive a manual, learning in one keeps both options open; you can try both cars on our ground first.

What do I need before my first lesson?

A valid provisional licence for your category, and you must be able to read a number plate from 20 metres, with glasses if you wear them. Bring your licence to every lesson.
