DamgaTrade marks & patents Enquire

Trade mark and patent attorneys · Istanbul

From a name to a registered mark, every step in writing.

Damga’s attorneys are entered on the TÜRKPATENT register of agents and handle trade mark filings, oppositions, renewals, patents and designs. We first agree the classes your mark needs, then report every stage in writing.

Registration is decided by the office; we never promise an outcome for any application.

(731)Principles

How we work

Damga is an old Turkish word for a seal or mark. Recording who owns a sign is the heart of our work, guided by four principles.

I

Classes are an attorney’s call

The class finder gives a first idea. The classes and specification are recommended by an attorney who knows your business.

II

Costs in writing

Official and professional fees are set out item by item before anything is filed.

III

Confidential by default

We never share client names or files without consent, which is why this page has no client logos.

IV

No promised outcomes

The office decides. We explain likelihoods and risks plainly and promise no results.

    FAQ

    Frequently asked questions

If your question is not here, add it to the enquiry form.

What do you need to file a trade mark?

The name or logo, the goods and services, the applicant’s details and a power of attorney. The enquiry form collects these at once.

Is the class finder result enough?

No. It shows sample matches only. A product can fall into several classes, and the wording of the specification defines the scope of protection, so an attorney recommends the final list.

    Can registration be guaranteed?

No. TÜRKPATENT decides and third parties can oppose. Clearance reduces the risk but does not remove it.

We are based outside Turkey. Can we file there?

Yes. Under article 160 of the Turkish Industrial Property Law, applicants resident abroad act before TÜRKPATENT only through a registered agent. We work in English, German or Turkish.

Why are there no client references on this site?

Professional rules for agents in Turkey prohibit disclosing a client’s identity without express consent, so we describe our services and process instead.
